Soprano Charlotte Forfar graduated with a Distinction in MA Opera Performance from the David Seligman Opera School at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She is a student of Scottish soprano Lorna Anderson.

Charlotte made her operatic debut with Welsh National Opera covering the role of First Mother and performing with the chorus in Heggie’s Dead Man Walking at the Wales Millennium Centre. Other rôles have included Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Elle (La Voix Humaine), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Miles (The Turn of the Screw) and Fiametta (The Gondoliers).

In 2021, under strict covid regulations, Charlotte performed in the David Seligman Opera School annual Gala under the baton of maestro Carlo Rizzi accompanied by the Welsh National Opera orchestra at the Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff.  She has appeared in several of the UK’s leading concert halls including The Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall, St David’s Hall and the Brangwyn Hall. In 2019 Charlotte was invited to travel to Abu Dhabi to perform in the chorus of Tosca with Bryn Terfel and Kristine Opolais. In the same year she performed as a soloist with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at Proms in the Park.

Charlotte is delighted to be returning to perform with Saffron Opera Group after covering the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni last year.
