In the UK, Paul Goodwin-Groen studied at the Manhattan School of Music and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts/Acting from Brandeis University in Boston.

He has recently sung the role of Fafner in Siegfried with The Mastersingers, covered both Fasolt and Fafner (Das Rheingold) for Longborough Festival Opera and covered Sam in Un Ballo in Maschera for Welsh National Opera.  Upcoming engagements include covering Hunding (Die Walküre) for Longborough Festival Opera and covering Procida (Les Vêpres Siciliennes) for Welsh National Opera.  For Saffron Opera Group last year Paul covered both Titurel and 2nd Knight (Parsifal).

In New York City, Paul was a founding member of Fusion Theatre, creating original works fusing opera with classic texts. He performed the dual role of King Philip/Creon in Antigone with music of Verdi and Mephisto/Valet in No Exit.  He sang with numerous New York City companies.

While previously resident in the UK, he worked at the Royal Opera House on Gianni Schicch, Matilde di Shabran and Thomas Adès’ The Tempest and Weill’s Seven Deadly Sins for the Royal Ballet. He has also performed with London Lyric Opera, New Devon Opera and at the Aldeburgh Festival.

At Theatre Hof in Germany, he appeared as Fafner (Das Rheingold). In Australia he has sung in Sydney, Perth, Hobart and also in Macau.
